Press Release Summary: Datacraft, a leading IT services and solutions company in Asia Pacific, has partnered with Activate Technologies (Activate) to extend its Microsoft offerings with Activate automated provisioning solution.
Press Release Body: Activate automates and delegates to business users common computer tasks which would normally require help-desk or specialist IT support. Self-service functions such as setting up new users, provisioning new hardware or software, password resets and management of group lists and directories are delegated to the users. Activate works with Microsoft's Active Directory to control security and user access, and automate identity management within the enterprise environment.
By automating hundreds of daily administrative support tasks, Activate enables organisations to improve response times, reduce the backlog of work and free up IT resources for strategic projects, whilst ensuring compliance to corporate policy and controls. As a result of the improved provisioning processes, the organisations can also enjoy quick returns on investment as they can typically recover their investment within six months.
At the same time, Activate's modular design enables each organisation to select the most appropriate functionality and implement a highly customized solution at its own speed and within days.
"Activate solution is a critical element of our Microsoft provisioning and deployment strategy. Our clients can now do more for less - from automating their provisioning process to dynamic desktop deployment on their Microsoft platform. In fact, we are deploying Activate solution to help clients in Japan automate their provisioning process in compliance to the J-SOX (Japanese Sarbanes Oxley) requirements," said Neville Burdan, Datacraft General Manager for Microsoft Solutions.
"Activate has had proven successes in New Zealand. We're confident that the success would be replicated in Asia, particularly with Datacraft as our partner," said Shaun Blackmore, CEO of Activate Technologies. "Their extensive coverage in Asia Pacific and strong expertise in Microsoft platform and solutions would enable Activate to penetrate the Microsoft market in the region."
"We see tremendous business opportunities for both Activate and Datacraft given the huge Microsoft base in Asia Pacific. Moreover, with the increasing pressure for organisations to reduce cost without compromising security and compliance, Activate provides the ideal solution for clients looking to improve their provisioning processes," said Bruce Chamberlin, Business Development Manager (Asia Pacific) of Activate Technologies.
